Prevalence of unaffordability (PUA)

Field Value
Description The indicator estimates the percentage of individuals in a population whose disposable income, net of the amount needed to acquire all basic non-food goods and services, is lower than the least-cost healthy diet. A cost threshold (r) is obtained by summing the cost of a healthy diet (CoHD) with the cost of basic non-food goods and services (n). The PUA indicator is obtained by contrasting the threshold r against country-specific income distribution data that are provided by the World Bank's Poverty and Inequality Platform (PIP).
